Basement Risk Check ("we," "us") operates basementriskcheck.com. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

Information you provide: name, phone number, email, street address, zip code, and a description of your basement concern, submitted through our assessment request form.
Information collected automatically: pages visited, zip codes checked, device and browser type, IP address, and advertising identifiers, collected through cookies and similar technologies including the Meta pixel.

How we use it

To respond to your assessment request, including contacting you by phone, text message, or email.
To connect you with one licensed waterproofing contractor serving your area. We share your request with that contractor only. We do not sell your information to lead lists or data brokers.
To measure and improve our advertising. Hashed contact information may be shared with advertising platforms (such as Meta) for conversion measurement.
To comply with legal obligations and keep records of communication consent.

Text message consent

By checking the consent box on our form, you agree to receive calls, text messages, and emails about your request, including through automated technology. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out of texts, or HELP for help.

Your choices

You may opt out of communications at any time by replying STOP to texts or using the contact below.
You may request access to, or deletion of, the personal information we hold about you. Michigan residents and residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws may have additional rights; we honor verified requests regardless of state.

Data retention and security

We retain request records and consent logs for as long as needed for business and legal purposes, then delete them. Information is stored with reputable providers and protected by access controls. No method of transmission is completely secure.

Children

This site is intended for homeowners 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
